The Toy That Saved Christmas
Click the video cover to read more about it!
- Remember the hood ornament from the Grapes' car ("The Grapes of Wrath," on the video
"God Wants Me to Forgive Them?!?")? It looks like
one of the little monster's from "Tales From the Crisper"
("Where's God When I'm S-Scared?"), and now
appears as the hood ornament on George's mail truck!
- Watch the bed of George's mail truck as it begins its journey toward Dinkletown.
Lying on its side is a purple box - a chocolate bunny box from "Rack, Shack & Benny"
("Rack, Shack & Benny")!
- The penguins who work at Mr. Nezzer's toy factory bear a striking resemblance to the
penguin from "Wallace and Grommit," a British claymation show.
- As the penguin washes the dishes, the Christmas song "Feliz Navidad" plays quietly.
In fact, it almost sounds like Larry the Cucumber's rendition of the tune from the album
"A Very Veggie Christmas!" The album and the Christmas video were released at the same
time.
- As our heroes enter Mr. Nezzer's television studio, take a look at all the neat
stuff inside. You'll see the couch from the Silly Song
"Love My Lips!"
("Dave and the Giant Pickle"), as well as the
Forgive-o-matic and a set of Ginsu steak knives from the sketch "The Forgive-o-matic"
("God Wants Me to Forgive Them?!?")!
