  • As the video begins, Larry is sporting a "Gourd's Gym" T-shirt, based off the popular "Lord's Gym" shirts - itself a takeoff off the "Gold's Gym" shirts. The "Gourd's Gym" T-shirt is available from LAS Creations.

  • As the dizzy Peas hop up and down on Qwerty's keyboard, one of them shouts, "Jane! Stop this crazy thing!" This is a reference to The Jetsons, a futuristic cartoon from Hanna-Barbara.

  • Larry thinks he's doing a home improvement video! His goof-up in the kitchen and the music played in between songs show that the skit is a spoof on Tim Allen's sitcom, "Home Improvement!"

  • Larry's comment at the video's conclusion is, "Hey Bob! I bought a whole chocolate factory for no money down!" This alludes to "Rack, Shack & Benny", in which the entire episode takes place in Mr. Nezzer's chocolate factory.

  • That parrot who appears momentarily in Silly Songs with Larry: "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" is really a penguin in disguise! The penguin is from "The Toy That Saved Christmas." In Phil Vischer's Veggiecational book "How Many Veggies?," the "parrot" is given a name: Harry.

  • There's an allusion to the Dustin Hoffman / Tom Cruise movie "Rain Man" in the Silly Song. As "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything" ends, Pa's comment is "It's definitely time for Wapner." In the movie, Hoffman's character Raymond must watch Judge Wapner on "The People's Court" every day.
