JUNIOR ASPARAGUS
Vital Statistics:
Type of Vegetable: Asparagus
First Appearance:
Where's God When I'm S-Scared?
Voice Performed By: Lisa Vischer
Junior is the classic five-year-old kid, but is far from ordinary. He is often the hero
of the story, playing such roles as the Good Samaritan (Tale of Two Cities) and David (Dave
and the Giant Pickle). Junior always wears some sort of hat, with two exceptions to date:
when his hat fell off in "The Grapes of Wrath" ("God Wants Me to
Forgive Them?!?"), and when he took it off to use his sling in
"Dave and the Giant Pickle". He seems to have a great
relationship with his Mom and Dad, who appear periodically.
JUNIOR'S PERFORMANCES
Where's God When I'm S-Scared?
Bob and Larry teach a frightened Junior that God is bigger than anything we could be
afraid of in "Tales From the Crisper."
God Wants Me to Forgive Them?!?
Junior learns to forgive others - even 70 times 7 times - when a family of grapes makes
fun of him in "The Grapes of Wrath."
Junior interrupts the scallion salesman in the short sketch "The Forgive-o-matic," telling
him that you don't need a Forgive-o-matic to be forgiven by God.
Are You My Neighbor?
Junior is the Good Samaritan in "Tale of Two Cities," a retelling of the classic parable.
Junior recognizes that everyone is made special by God.
When Larry has lost his hairbrush in "The Hairbrush Song," Junior must point out that he
doesn't need one...he doesn't have any hair!
In "The Gourds Must Be Crazy," Junior enlists Jimmy and Jerry Gourd to help save a
starship, and the crew learns that we can be friends with anybody.
Rack, Shack & Benny
Junior stars as Shack in "Rack, Shack & Benny," remembering what his parents taught him and
standing up for what he knows is right.
Junior interrupts "The Dance of the Cucumber" for a photo-op with Larry the Cucumber in his
"authentic Arentinian garb!"
Dave and the Giant Pickle
Junior stars as Dave, who goes from shepherd boy to hero by defeating a giant pickle,
proving that with God's help, little guys can do big things!
The Toy That Saved Christmas
Junior joins Bob, Larry and a Buzz-Saw Louie doll in saving Christmas by sharing its true
meaning with all of Dinkletown.
Very Silly Songs!
Though Junior appears in many of the songs, he does not appear in any of the new animation
sequences in "Very Silly Songs!"
Larry-Boy & the Fib from
Outer Space!
An alien convinces Junior to fib to his dad, a fib which soon turns into a big lie - a
onster threatening all of Bumblyburg! Only by telling the truth can Junior be set
free.
Josh and the Big Wall!
Junior is given the honor of co-hosting the show with Bob, since Larry is still sleeping.
Together, they use their imaginations to witness the story of "Josh and the Big
Wall!"
Junior joins Larry for his stereo-phonic, multimedia presentation of "The Song of the
Cebu."
Madame Blueberry
Junior plays a poor boy in "Madame Blueberry." Though his family cannot afford the train
set he wants, Junior remember to be thankful for the things that he does
have.
The End of Silliness?
Junior appears along with his penguin friend Harry in "The Yodeling Veterinarian of the
Alps" on "The End of Silliness?"
Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed
Junior is back in trouble in Bumblyburg! Junior and Laura Carrot start a rumor about
Alfred, which spreads through the city like a weed. The two must learn that God doesn't
want us to spread words that hurt - He wants us to spread nice words.
